Most sellers set price and pack size once, then never check whether they still make sense. We break down exactly where your margin is made or lost, SKU by SKU, pack by pack.
| PACK SIZE | SALE PRICE | LANDED COST | REFERRAL FEE | FBA FEE | NET PROFIT | NET MARGIN |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1-Pack BEST MARGIN | $14.99 | $4.80 | $2.25 | $4.94 | $3.00 | 20.0% |
| 3-Pack | $39.99 | $14.40 | $6.00 | $14.39 | $5.20 | 13.0% |
| 6-Pack | $74.99 | $28.80 | $11.25 | $28.19 | $6.75 | 9.0% |
A 3-pack of your product can look like a better deal to a shopper, and still make you less money than the 1-pack, once shipping, storage, and advertising costs scale with size. Most sellers price by “what looks competitive,” not by what’s actually left over per unit after every real cost is counted. That gap is invisible until someone builds the full breakdown.
In one real breakdown we ran for a multi-category pantry-staples brand, a 3-pack variant of the same SKU looked like the obvious value play next to the 1-pack, but once advertising cost (which scales with price) and per-unit shipping and storage were factored in, its net margin came out lower, not higher. The 1-pack was quietly the more profitable size to push. Nothing about the shelf price or the packaging said so; only the full cost breakdown did.
A per-SKU, per-pack-size margin breakdown (not just a price check): landed cost through net margin, plus your price-per-unit-of-measure benchmarked against your category, so you know which pack sizes are actually earning their shelf space.
Active Amazon sellers with at least one SKU live. We need real pricing to build the breakdown from, so this offer isn’t for pre-launch brands. If you’re not selling yet, the Category Assessment is the better fit.
Same program as our other free assessments: one consistent offer for CPG brands selling on Amazon, not three different pitches.
